High Rankings for Valley Medical Center in Annual List of ‘Best Hospitals’

U.S. News & World Report has high marks for Valley Medical Center and other UW Medicine hospitals in its newly released list of Best Hospitals 2017-2018 evaluations of more than 4,600 local, state and national facilities. Ranked at No. 6 in the Seattle metro area with Harborview Medical Center, Valley Medical Center was also recognized as No. 8 “Best Hospital” in Washington state.

As part of the magazine’s methodology, a separate set of ratings is compiled for care in specific conditions and procedures. Valley Medical Center has “high performing” ratings in these areas:

• Heart failure (Valley Medical Center, UW Medical Center)
• Hip replacement (Valley Medical Center, Northwest Hospital & Medical Center)
• Knee replacement (Valley Medical Center)

UW Medical Center is ranked the No. 1 hospital in Washington state and the Seattle metro area for the sixth consecutive year.
