Four Tips for Extra Flavor in Fruits and Veggies

You know it’s important to eat lots of fruit and vegetables, but how can you jazz them up to make them more delicious? It’s all in how you cook them.

  • Roast vegetables at a high temperature to caramelize them and make them naturally sweeter.
  • Throw fruit on the grill for a richer, sweeter flavor.
  • Lightly sauté veggies in a small amount of canola, sunflower or avocado oil, until crisp, not soggy.
  • Add seasonings to vegetables like lemon, garlic and onion and fresh or dried herbs like parsley, basil, dill, rosemary, oregano.
