New Physiatry Clinic Opens July 18

An acute injury or chronic illness can cause pain, weakness, or numbness resulting in the loss of movement, speech, or level of independence at home or on the job. Trained in both physical medicine and rehabilitation, providers at VMC’s new Physiatry Clinic will diagnose and treat patients to help restore function, manage pain and return to enjoying life as fully as possible. Services offered include acute and chronic injury management, and platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to stimulate the healing of bone and soft tissue.

The clinic is led by Dr. Cheryl Hayes, D.O., a dually certified physiatrist by the American Association of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She is certified in Pain Management through the American Board of Pain Medicine.

The Physiatry Clinic is located at 425 SW 41st St. Renton, WA 98057. For appointments, call 425.226.1190.
