Valley Girls & Guys Inaugural Be the Hope Walk is Benefitting Valley Medical Center’s Cancer Program

Last spring, Valley Girls & Guys presented Valley’s Board of Trustees with a $500,0000 check representing their commitment to donate $100,000 for five years to help equip Valley’s new Cancer Center, now under construction. Their gift will help fund state-of-the-art technology and enhanced services, and provide annual donations to Valley’s Patient Assistance Fund to assist those undergoing cancer treatment with some of life’s necessities.

To meet their ongoing, cancer-fighting commitment to Valley, Valley Girls & Guys are hosting the inaugural Be The Hope Walk, a one-day fundraising event on July 20, 2019 in Maple Valley with three different ways to participate:

  1. Walk 18 miles representing the statistic that 1 in 8 will develop breast cancer at some point in their lifetime. Fundraising commitment of $1800
  2. A 1.8 mile walk for those undergoing treatment, family members, supporters, EVERYONE from toddler – 100+ years of age! Fundraising commitment of $180 per walker
  3. A virtual walk of your choice of 1.8 miles or 18 miles in your own community to support the cause. Fundraising commitment of $80 per walker

Please join us in supporting enhanced cancer services within our South King County community!
