U.S. News & World Report Ranks Valley Medical Center One of the Best Hospitals in State of Washington

According to U.S. News & World Report, UW Medicine |Valley Medical Center (VMC) is ranked No. 4 in the Seattle Metro Area, No. 6 in Washington State, and is recognized as a “Best” hospital in Puget Sound. Valley Medical Center also received a “high performing” designation in three adult procedures/conditions, including Hip Replacement, Knee Replacement, and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

The ranking is part of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Hospitals 2015-16 state, regional and metro rankings report released July 21, 2015.

VMC’s UW Medicine partner organizations, UW Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center—which VMC works closely with for more complex patient cases—also ranked extremely well in the region and the state: UW Medical Center ranked No. 1 in the Seattle Metro area and No. 1 in Washington state, and Harborview ranked No. 6 in the Seattle Metro area and No. 11 in Washington state.

U.S. News analyzed over 5,000 hospitals nationwide for adult and pediatric care to find the best hospitals based on critical criteria and patient outcomes.
