Valley Receives Grant to Install Robust Child Changing Table

Valley Medical Center’s Children’s Therapy clinic has been approved for a $12,000 award from the D.V. and Ida J. McEachern Charitable Trust to install one robust child changing table that has enough support to accommodate adolescents with disabilities.

The D.V. and Ida J. McEachern Charitable Trust is a non-profit organization established in 1969 to help give a better start in life to all children, both educationally and physically. This community need was identified by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI)-funded Keep Movin’ Project which is a network of patients, caregivers, and community stakeholders who aim to identify barriers and facilitators to increased physical activity and participation of children who use wheelchairs, walks, crutches, and canes.
