Now you can read valleymed.org in your favorite language using our new Google Translate menu. Located on the right side of most pages on the website, select your preferred language from the Google Translate dropdown menu. While the translations may not be perfect every time, we hope this new feature makes it easier to find the services and information everyone needs.
More than 30% of people in Valley Medical Center’s service area speak a language other than English in the home. We know that 13% speak an Asian/Pacific Islander language and nearly 9% speak Spanish in the home. Overall in our King County community, there are more than 120 different languages spoken! We are pleased that technology is now available to help us better serve those who are more comfortable reading languages other than English.
In addition, Valley provides free translation services for patients in the hospital and at clinic appointments. Valley also welcomes patients and visitors to use the Google Translate app on their smart phones to better navigate the signs throughout the medical campus and our clinic facilities.
