CHANGES AT THE JOINT CENTER AT VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER

In April 2010, The Joint Center at Valley Medical Center will move into its new location in the recently completed South Medical Tower. Our capacity will increase, our facilities will be brand new, and it gives us an opportunity to revisit our protocols and procedures.

In over 10 years of operation The Joint Center has been highly successful and has been recognized as a top center for joint replacement. This year we were voted number one in Washington state for joint replacement by HealthGrades®.  We have learned a lot over the last 10 years regarding what patients need and want in their hospital care following joint replacement surgery.

We have an excellent staff that continually updates their knowledge. Specializing in only joint replacements allows our nurses, therapists, administration, and volunteers to zero in on the specific needs of each patient.

You can look for improvement with regard to both our physical plant and our educational opportunities.

Valley Orthopedic Associates has initiated an educational seminar program at Valley Medical Center covering topics on a variety of orthopedic fronts ranging from joint replacement to spine, hand, and shoulder surgery, to foot surgery, sports medicine, conditions affecting the aging athlete, and concerns specific to female patients.

Visit the website at Valley Medical Center, (valleymed.org) for more information. If you are at the hospital and would like to see our new facility after the April opening, please feel free to drop by and come visit. We look forward to attending to your joint replacement needs.
