Shortcuts can be a hand and wrist saver. If you use your mouse frequently while using MS Word or other software programs take the time to learn the shortcuts (for example, CTRL+S to save a document, or CTRL+N to open a new document in MS Word on a PC). By using your keyboard to perform the actions you can reduce the amount of right hand/wrist discomfort. If you are unsure about the shortcuts your software program provides check with the provider. Valley Medical Center employees can find many shortcuts through EPIC. For all other PC operations check out http://support.microsoft.com/kb/126449.
