Ergonomic Tip of the Week: Eek, a Mouse!

 

To prevent wrist discomfort or pain while typing or using a computer mouse, remember to keep your wrist as straight as possible. Any bending of the wrist will cause friction through the carpel tunnels, the passageways in the wrist through which pass the nerves and the flexor muscles of the hand. If pain becomes greater than moderate consult your employee health manager or physician and schedule an ergonomic evaluation.
