Valley Medical Center & Clinics is proud to be the first hospital in the Pacific Northwest to offer the newest endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) technology, giving patients access to one of the most advanced tools available for diagnosing diseases of the digestive system. Since the program launched in early June, Valley physicians have already performed 12 procedures using the new technology.
Endoscopic ultrasound combines a flexible endoscope with high-resolution ultrasound imaging to provide detailed views of the digestive tract and nearby organs, including the pancreas, liver, gallbladder and bile ducts. This advanced approach helps physicians evaluate abnormalities, diagnose and stage gastrointestinal cancers, investigate unexplained symptoms, and obtain tissue samples through a minimally invasive procedure—all without traditional surgery in many cases.
Bringing this technology to Valley means more patients can receive advanced diagnostic care close to home. By offering the latest innovations in gastrointestinal care, Valley continues its commitment to expanding access to high-quality specialty services and ensuring patients throughout our region receive expert care without having to travel outside the Pacific Northwest.
