Congratulations to Valley’s Maternal Fetal Medicine Clinic for achieving official certification from the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, the national governing body certifying medical ultrasound units. Valley’s Obstetric Services Medical Director, Joseph Hwang, MD, says, “This is an important landmark for all of us working at Valley’s MFM clinic and establishes us as a reference center for fetal ultrasound. Thank you to everyone in the MFM office for this accomplishment.” The AIUM certification is through 2022, however Dr. Hwang underscores Valley’s commitment to continuing to maintain this certification in to the future as a high quality, reference center for our patients.Through the AIUM voluntary peer-reviewed certification process, the MFM Clinic has demonstrated that they meet or exceed nationally recognized standards in the performance and interpretation of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including:
