About Zika Virus:
- Zika can be spread through sexual transmission, as well as from a pregnant woman to her fetus
- Infection during pregnacies is linked to birth defects in babies
- Zika is spread mostly by infected mosquitos
- There is no vaccine to prevent or medicine to treat Zika
CDC Recommends:
- Do not travel to places where Zika is spreading
- If you must travel to these areas, ask your doctor first
- Strictly follow steps to prevent mosquito bites during your trip
