Starting January 20, 2020, it will be illegal under Washington law for tobacco or vaping products to be sold to those under age 21, thanks to a bill signed by Gov. Jay Inslee on April 5, 2019. Washington is one of nine states to pass similar laws since 2015 to help prevent adolescents and young adults from forming harmful habits. “We’re going to save thousands of lives,” said Gov. Inslee.
