Valley Receives $6 Million Grant to Advance Cancer Center Expansion

Valley Medical Center is proud to announce a generous $6 million grant from The Norcliffe Foundation, marking a significant milestone in the advancement of our new Cancer Center, which opened to our first patients on Monday. This funding will help propel the project into Phase 1B, bringing expanded services and enhanced care to cancer patients in South King County.

“This is the most momentous day for us,” said Jeannine Erickson Grinnell, CEO and CFO of Valley Medical Center. “We just celebrated the opening of our new Cancer Center Infusion Center, and now, with this incredible support from The Norcliffe Foundation, we are able to move this dream forward. This grant represents hope for so many cancer patients in our community.”

The Cancer Center at Valley Medical Center has been more than seven years in the making, with dedicated support from donors, healthcare professionals, and the local community. The Infusion Center opening marks a critical step in expanding access to cutting-edge cancer treatment close to home. The Norcliffe Foundation’s contribution brings us much closer to the $10 million needed to build out Phase 1B, which includes a new Oncology & Hematology Clinic, Multidisciplinary Clinic, Laboratory, and Café.
