Trapper & Samantha Wellbeing Support Center: Enriching the Lives of Those Navigating a Cancer Journey

A cherished resource, the Trapper & Samantha Wellbeing Support Cart has brought comfort and resources to countless patients undergoing cancer treatment at Valley. It is now growing into something even more extraordinary—an inspiring, dedicated suite in our new Cancer Center that opens on February 3.

The Trapper & Samantha Wellbeing Support Center is devoted to helping patients and their loved ones navigate the cancer journey with comfort items, education, programs, and specialized resources.

As one of the first service areas to open in Phase One, the Trapper & Samantha Wellbeing Support Center demonstrates Valley’s promise to make comprehensive, compassionate care an essential part of every patient’s experience from the very beginning.

The path through cancer treatment touches every aspect of a patient’s life, which is why the Center provides support that extends far beyond medical treatment. Staffed by Valley’s dedicated volunteers, the Center offers a wide range of free, thoughtful resources throughout the care journey:

  • The welcoming Wig, Hat, and Scarf Bank provides comfortable, graceful solutions for those experiencing hair loss.
  • The Support Cart delivers comfort with thoughtful items such as cozy blankets, charging cords, and engaging activities to ease treatment time.
  • Personal Health Manager Kits help patients organize and keep track of their appointments, medications, test results, and other important information related to their care.
  • Cancer education helps patients learn about their cancer diagnosis and understand treatment options.
  • Our resource navigation services connect patients to essential programs and support, including transportation, social work, community networks, and organizations like Cancer Lifeline.

This incredible Center was made possible by the generosity of Trapper and Samantha, local business leaders who are committed to supporting their community. Their partnership with Valley Girls & Guys has made a lasting impact on the lives of those affected by cancer. The connection is deeply personal, as Samantha herself battled cancer and is now in full remission.

The Trapper & Samantha Wellbeing Support Center reflects Valley’s vision: the best cancer care embraces hope and healing by supporting every aspect of an individual’s wellbeing—physical, emotional, educational, and social.
